Angels have always been the Lord’s favorites. This state of affairs lasted an eternity or more. There was only Him, Angels, and one big nothing, but the longer it lasted, the more the Lord realized that he had made a fatal mistake.
Angels were powerful, immortal, useful but had only one flaw: they didn’t have free will. They couldn’t argue with him, couldn’t live building their own world. For Him, they were just obedient minions, no more.
Once, He’s decided to correct this annoying mistake by creating people in his own image and likeness, having given them the right to choose. The Angels looked with horror at the fact that the Lord spent all his time with the first people. It became obvious that from now on, they were only servants, but the most devastating blow was that no matter what people did, they could always receive His forgiveness.
The understanding of this was unbearable, and the Angels have been accumulating anger, willing revenge. After The Split, Lucifer left. Thanks to his ambitions and The First War, Angels managed to push through a deal between the Lord and Lucifer that half-breeds would be sent to Earth to achieve a balance of forces. This became their little triumph, the first step to a victory. Together with Demons, they did everything possible to poison the lives of people, and they succeeded quite well in this.
After the incident with Mammon, the Archangels were able to convince the Lord that only they could become wonderful patrons of people and protect the Earth from Lucifer’s encroachments. They have got permission, and a countdown began for people. Humanity was on the verge of the greatest test without even knowing it.
